Elisabeth (Kash) Salyer's book on the Salyer family has a section on the Saylors. It gives the census listing for this family from the 1880 Magoffin Co. KY source. Martin Saylor was age 50, wife Clerinda (Salyer) was age 47, and their children were Henry age 18, Haley age 14, Mary age 16, Zachariah Neuton Saylor age 12, Matthew age 9, and Lucenia (or Serena) age 7. One Serena Saylor married in 1892 to James Williams.
Our Conley book on page 180 shows Zachariah Newton Saylor b. 1858, son of Clarinda Salyer and Martin Saylor. Clarinda was the dau of Henry Salyer and Elizabeth Conley who was the 6th child of Edmond Conley and Lydia Joynes.
