Death: Betty Allen, 75, rural Warsaw, died at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 1997, at Mason Healthcare Center.
She was born on Sept. 10, 1921, in Salyersville, Ky., to Bass and Dollie (Allen) Howard. She married Edd Allen on July 10, 1941. He survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Free United Baptist Church, Packerton.
Also surviving are a son, Robert Allen, Pierceton; two daughters, Mrs. Ken (Belva) Shepherd and Mrs. Carl (Avadean) Morrison, both of Claypool; three brothers, Rosco Howard and Lonzo Howard, both of Pierceton, and Monroe Howard, Printer, Ky.; a sister, Arizona Mullins, Pierceton; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nine stepgreat-grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Free United Baptist Church, Packerton. The Revs. James Rowe and Willie Collins will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
