L. J. played soccer, baseball, and hockey throughout his school years. From the time he was in 4th grade he had a wish to attend MSU or U of M to play hockey. After graduating from high school, L. J. joined the USHL as goalie, playing for the Omaha Lancers. He was traded to the Fargo-Moorhead Bears in December, 1995. At the end of the season he returned home having had his fill of living away from his family. He was offered a full scholarship from Alabama but turned it down due to the distance. Discussions were held with coaches of MSU, U of M, Ferris State and Western MI. He chose Western Michigan University.

22 Nov 1998: L. J. thinks calculus is a very difficult subject but continues to major in Business Administration. L. J. met his girlfriend, Stacy Lee Ann Webster, in high school. They didn't date until 3 years after graduation, and they have been together for almost four years. (1999).

21 Nov 1999: L. J. got through Calculus and is now enjoying not having to do math anymore. He is STILL happily dating Stacy Lee Ann Webster. She is in her second year as a First grade teacher at Myers Elementary School in Taylor, MI. L.J started his first game as a Wolverine last night against Lake Superior State but lost.

12 Nov 2000: L. J. is looking at the last stretch. He is still with the U of M hockey team in goal. He is looking forward to graduating in May 2001.

Stacy and her family have lived in the U.S. every winter since she was born. They would go wherever her dad's hockey took them. They would always go back to Niagara Falls for the summer. Their biggest stay in the U.S. came in 1989 when the family moved to Los Angeles. Since that year they have remained in the U.S.

Stacy holds a California State record for high school soccer. She had the most points in a soccer game (either 7 or 8 points, she can't remember which).

Birth: She was born at 4:47 PM and was 20 1/2 inches long and 7# 6 oz - with a full head of hair - adder her grandfather Tony. Mom started labor at 2:20 AM - what a long day!

Marriage: The ceremony was held inside the Dearborn Country Club, rather than outside as planned due to rain. Stacy and L.J. were married by a Baptist minister under a floral arch decorated by Stacy's mother. The reception followed immediately. Mike Rusinski was "best man" and son of Bill Rusinski who graduated from Dearborn High School with LJ's aunt and uncle, Laurie Scarpace and Ed Levy.

Hi Everyone!
L. J. and I wanted to let you know that last Saturday, September 1, at 5:30 p.m., we became engaged! We went fishing on L.J.'s new row boat on the Huron River, and after casting a couple of times and changing a couple of lures, L.J. put a ring on the bottom of my fishing pole!! Of course I said "Yes!"
We haven't set a date, and don't know exactly what kind of wedding we will have. However, we will be getting married during the summer of 2002. We will make sure to keep everyone posted with all the wedding details.
