05-07-1999: The birth records of his children Giuseppe and Anna Maria indicate an age of 40 years old in 1872 and in 1875. This would give Marco a birth range of between 1832 and 1835. His address in 1875 at the time of Anna Maria's birth was #5 Via Lombardo, Termini Imerese.
05-28-1999: The birth record of his son, Agostino, located by Kathy Kirkpatrick in the Termini birth records for 1867-77 (LDS Library microfilm #2014202) indicates an age of 50 years old in 1869. This would give Marco a birth date of 1819. Significantly earlier than first thought from the records of Giuseppe and Anna Maria.
09-15-1999: The marriage announcement of Marco Sansone and Michela Cirritano were located by Genealogist Kathy Kirkpatrick in the Termini Marriage Promises. The first announcement was on January 25, 1869. The second announcement was on February 7, 1869 and the third annnouncement was on February 11, 1869. The marriage probably occurred on February 11th or within that week. The groom was a single male 39 yrs old (b. 1830), fisherman, living in Termini, the son of unknown parents. The bride was a single female, 33 years old, born and living in Termini, the daughter of Vincenzo Cirrintano, fisherman, and of Domenica Salamone, who live in Termini.
This wedding announcement gives more support to a birth year for Marco Sansone of abt. 1830.

05-07-1999: The birth records of Termini Imerese from 1834-36 at the LDS Library, microfilm #1688172 contain the birth of Michela Cirrintano on August 28, 1835. She was the daughter of Vincenzo Cirrintano, 28 years old (b. ~ 1807), a fisherman, living with his wife, Domenica Salamone, 27 years old (b. ~ 1808). Domenica was the daughter of the woman reporting the birth, Michela Mascari Salamone.

The birth of Agositno was reported by Domenica Salamone Cirrintano, Daughter of the late Gasuardo (sp?), 70 years old (b. 1799), living in Termini. The child was born to Michela Cirrintano, daughter of Vincenzo, 33 years old (b. 1836), wife of Marco Sansone, son of the late Giuseppe, 50 years old (b. 1819), fisherman, living in Termini.

Her birth date on her tombstone lists 1880 as year of birth but death certificate lists 1879. Paul J. Caito (b. 1953 - great-grandson) remembers Anna Sansone Caito (b. 1897 - daughter) as saying 1880 was the year of her mother's birth on many occasions. The info on the death certificate was supplied by Joseph Sansone (d. 1975 - great-nephew) who was probably less likely to know the year of birth than Anna or Paul.
10-07-1998: Death certificate of Antonina Sansone in 1910 (daughter) lists mother's name as "Providenza," not Salvatrice or Bertha. 1930 Buffalo City directory lists the wife of Joseph Sansone of 108 Sycamore, as "Salvatrice." The name of Bertha was used on the death certificate of her husband in 1951 (on file). The name "Salvatrice" was used on her Funeral Holy card and the name was supplied to the Funeral home by Joseph Sansone (d. 1975 - great-nephew). The names she used throughout her life appear to change from Providenza to Salvatrice to Bertha.

This would give us a date of birth of September 15, 1875. Address at time of death was: 860 Michigan Avenue, Buffalo, NY. This was her daughters address, Mrs. Anthony (Lena) Longo, so she was living with her daughter at the time of her death.
