Birth: 1880 Census: Lists Jeremiah Higgins and Family as living at 309 Perry Street; Buffalo, New York. Jeremiah and his wife Mary Vaughn, were both born in Ireland as was their oldest son Jeremiah. Therefore, they were probably married in Ireland prior to 1866 when their first son was born. The remaining children (Laurence, Catherine, Mary and Margaret) were all born in New York (State), probably Buffalo.

Death: Death Certificate on file: died as a patient at Buffalo State Hospital and Death Certificate was filled out by Hospital Records. Primary cause of death was gangrene of the right foot, possibly secondary to arteriosclerosis (since no other circulatory diseases such as diabetes are mentioned). She was also diagnosed with Senile Psychosis - Senile deterioration. Address at time of death was 503 Humboldt Parkway.

Birth: 1880 Census: list age as 14 yrs. giving him a birth year of July 1865 (Census day was June 1, 1880) 1900 Census: lists age as 33 yrs. with a birth of July 1866. (Census day was June 1, 1900).

The 1900 Census was probably the more accurate as HE was probably the one filling it out. The 1880 census was filled out by his parents who could easily have made a one year error in his birth year. It's probably less likely that whoever Ruth Muller is, would have known his birth year better that William would have when he was about 33 years old.

Address at time of death listed as 123 Kensington Avenue; Gardenville, NY. Primary cause of death was General Arteriosclerosis with contributory causes of Chronic myocarditis, bronchiectasis and bronchial asthma.
