They later lived for a time in Oklahoma before moving back to Kentucky where they lived on Little Whitely Creek, Trace Fork of Licking (at the old home place of Morgan Wireman) and Big Whitely Creek. There they ran a general store and farmed. The house on Whitely is still standing and is where Ramey and Dorothy Wireman live today. (1983) Here is where the family lived when son Arvel married Mae Shepherd They lived with M F and Ella about a year and a half along with their first child Connie, then moved to a farm near the Howard's Branch on Licking. The Whitely farm was a very pleasant place to visit. The house had all sorts of interesting things to see, including a trap door on the back porch that led down into a cellar full of canned goods and garden produce. Then there was the shop building, the barn and of course, the store where the huge sticks of peppermint candy where. After the children had all gone from home M F & Ella moved to the farm on Licking River where Arvel had once lived. Here they built a store and a home where they were to spend the rest of their lives. Ella was also postmistress of the Arthurmabel Post Office in addition to continuing with the store. Son John T also built his home here and now he and his family run the store.
