Philip SANSONE:

5 Jan 1999: Philip has provided a significant portion of the information of the Sansone family tree in the Syracuse area and is the individual who tied the Mascari and Caito Family Trees together. He was able to provide the names of the siblings of Francesca Mascari (b. Aug 15, 1861) who was the wife of Augustino Caito. He was also able to provide the majority of the names of the descendants of the siblings of Francesca.

Philip was born and raised in Malone, New York; attended Clarkson in 1938 until his Infantry National Guard unit was called to active duty in 1940. He was immediately transferred to the Army Air Corps and later to the USAF and during WWII he spent two and a half years overseas in two tours of duty which then led to a long military career from which he retired in 1960. He then spent 23 years in the electronics industry and eight years in local politics as a Newport Beach City Councilman, including two years as Mayor of Newport Beach, CA. He is now fully retired.
