Peter DEWILDE:
Born Wolmans, Belgium
Born in Wolmans, Belgium - a Flemish province. His mother was Belgium. Father was French. The name was originally spelled De Wil De - designating a knighthood to an ancestor. It was pronounced DE-WIBB-DE, even when he came here to America as a young man. Later it was written DeWilde. Later, the girls, Mary, Florence, Louise and Rose were in school and wrote it as Dewilde leaving off the capital W.
Never was a farmer, but once owned where Van Dyke & Gratiot is now (in Detroit, Michigan). There was a farm, but he rented it out. He was a small man, about 5'4" or 5'5", dark eyes and hair.
He was artistic - did stained glass & had a way of making purple that was very beautiful and would not fade. He also did other work, but I don't remember what.
Eugenia COSTANOBLE:
Alias Jenny COSTANOBLE
Not sure where Jenny was born, but she was raised in Detroit. It is believed her last names were Golderes, Castanoble and Cornellie (marriages?) She was a small woman, 4'10", piercing black eyes & a dominant woman
