Occupation: William started work at age 18 as a tire stacker for Hewitt Rubber and went to school at night. He became controller and the company became Hewitt Robins. He was also president of the Controller's Association. He was a strict Roman Catholic who went to Mass daily and twice on Sundays (once to fulfill his Sunday obligation and once out of gratitude). He also did regular Monday night Novena's and the Five First Saturdays. In the 1950's he became a member of St. Amelia's RC Church on Eggert Road in Tonawanda. He was founder of the First Friday Club of Buffalo.
