Birth: 1880 Census: list age as 14 yrs. giving him a birth year of July 1865 (Census day was June 1, 1880) 1900 Census: lists age as 33 yrs. with a birth of July 1866. (Census day was June 1, 1900).
The 1900 Census was probably the more accurate as HE was probably the one filling it out. The 1880 census was filled out by his parents who could easily have made a one year error in his birth year. It's probably less likely that whoever Ruth Muller is, would have known his birth year better that William would have when he was about 33 years old.

Primary cause of death was gangrene of the right foot, possibly secondary to arteriosclerosis (since no other circulatory diseases such as diabetes are mentioned). He also did regular Monday night Novena's and the Five First Saturdays. In the 1950's he became a member of St. Amelia's RC Church on Eggert Road in Tonawanda. He was founder of the First Friday Club of Buffalo.
