She was survived by three daughters: Mrs. Paul Maschiri, Mrs. Samuel Sanzone and Mrs. Josephine McKenzie. It also notes that she had seven (7) grandchildren. It notes further that she had four brothers and three sisters but does not name them. Funeral on Wednesday May 22, 1963 at 8:30 AM from her home on W. Borden Avenue and at 9:00 AM from St. Anthony of Padua Church. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt, NY.

Death: 02-25-1987: Obituary lists his home address at time of death as 109 Hiawatha Trail, Liverpool (Syracuse suburb), New York. Death was on Wednesday, February 25, 1987 at his home. Survivors listed are a son, Dr. Phillip A. Sansone and a daughter, Margaret A. Scouten, both of Charlottesville, Virginia; three sisters, Anna Maschiri of Liverpool, Frances Sanzone of Rome and Josephine McKenzie of Syracuse; as well as three grandchildren.
Burial: Funeral Services were on Saturday, February 28, 1987 at 10:45 AM at Maurer Funeral Home, Liverpool, NY; and 11:15 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Liverpool. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery; Dewitt, NY. The obituary goes on to state that he was born in Syracuse and lived in Liverpool for 37 years. He retired as the owner of New York Fruit and P. A. Sansone Co. in Syracuse and also owned Sansone's Liquor Store in Liverpool. He was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy and attended Niagara University. He was past president of Liverpool Lion's Club as well as a communicant of St. Joseph the Worker Church.

Marriage: 23 Sep 1998: Marriage date of November 28th was supplied by Frank Scarpace (b.1922). Frank thinks he heard that all the Caito sisters were married at St. Anthony's Church in Batavia, NY. (Unfortunately, in checking records of St. Anthony's Church, there are no marriage records of any of the Caito women at the Church).

30 Oct 1998: Article in Batavia Daily News concerning the 80th Wedding Anniversary of Salvatore and Providenzia notes that Salvatore first came to the USA with his sister (Margaret) and her (then) new husband (Philip Sansone) from Sicily in 1898. This means that Margaret and Philip were married before our original marriage year of 1909. St. Anthony's Church in Batavia has no record of a wedding of Margaret and Philip. St. Anthony's was formed in 1909, so no weddings could have been performed there before that date. The question is: were Margaret and Philip married in Sicily and came to the USA as husband and wife; or, did they marry after arriving in the USA; and if so, where did they get married?
