7-31-1999: Grave marker at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery notes that year of birth is 1890 yet cemetery records indicate that Michael was 51 yrs old at the time of death (birth year of abt 1893). Records in this genealoy report will reflect an 1890 birth year with a resultant age of abt. 54 yrs old.

08-05-1999: Phone conversation with his daughter, Bess DePeters (b. 1922) notes that Michael's mother, Maria Mascari wanted her children to be born in Termini Imerese, even though the family was living in Rochester, NY. As a result, she went back to Termini for the birth of her son, Michael.

16 Mar 1975: Obituary obtained from Rochester Democrat & Chronicle, Tuesday, March 18, 1975 edition, p. 4B., notes that Mary was not survived by a husband, suggesting that her husband Michael was already deceased. She was survived by her son Ray ("Biz"), four daughters, Miss Mary Palmisano, Mrs. Charles (Jo) Costanza) of Long Island, NY and Mrs. Paul (Sue) Stevens of San Francisco, California. Also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also her brother, Mr. S. Peter Mascari; two sister, Mrs. Frances Cianciolo of Milwaukee, WI and Mrs. Anthony (Madelyn) Brescia; Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral on Thursday March 20, 1975 at 9:00 AM at St. Anthony's Church, Rochester, NY. Arrangements by DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc. 219 Spencerport Road, Gates, NY (across from St. Theodore's Church). Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
She was 84 yrs, 2 mos, 21 days old.
