There was a room in their next Armory, located on Masten Street, known as the Maxwell Room and featured a stuffed bear. The building burned down and no Maxwell Room was included in the new Armory.
During the Spanish American War, he was in the 74th Army (which later changed its number to the 174th). That Armory is on Connecticut Street, across from D'Youville College.
At age 19 (enlistment) he was 5Ɗ" and listed as a driver from Cold Springs, NY (apparently a section north of the city of Buffalo).
